Head Coach Blade
Blade started CrossFit in 2015 kick starting a passion for the sport and a new career path. Blade has a Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and CrossFit level 1, 2 & 3, CrossFit Weightlifting, CrossFit Running, and CrossFit Judging qualifications. Blade has more than 8 years’ experience coaching CrossFit and is also a Personal Trainer.
“I love any workout with power cleans or toes to bar in it”.
Best training advice he can give: “Develop your basic strict strength before trying the fancy stuff.”
Hobbies outside of gym include eating at new restaurants, gaming and of course watching CrossFit.
Coach Karl (Owner)
Karl is a masters athlete with a passion for CrossFit and fitness. He began CrossFit in 2013 which sparked an undeniable passion and an immeasurable shift in his personal health and fitness.
His passion for sports started prior to CrossFit, playing many sports, most notably Premier Grade Rugby Union in Brisbane. He has represented the Australian Police Rugby Union and Rugby League teams and is currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Australian Police Rugby Union Team.
“As the owner I believe it is my responsibility to provide a space that welcomes and unites people of all ages, abilities, and goals using a methodology that is accessible and effective for all. We train, struggle, and progress together. I have built a strong and inclusive community that nurtures a sense of belonging.”
Coach Daisy
Daisy is a Level 1 CrossFit coach and an original since CrossFit 4055 opened in 2020. Daisy’s energy and positivity is contagious and an asset to our community.
Daisy’s passion for the sport translates to her skills as a coach, where she brings a results-driven outlook, coupled with a strong focus on building a solid foundation. Her mission is to cut through the noise in the health and fitness industry and help people to create change for lasting health, happiness and confidence.
By day, Daisy is a consultant working across a number of industries including Finance, Defence and Mining.
When not training or coaching, Daisy enjoys learning calisthenics, the beach, watching movies and anything outdoors.
Coach Courtney
“Courts” has been in the CrossFit athlete and coaching scene for over 10 years. She has an impressive array of achievements; she has competed at CrossFit Regionals and has competed on the world stage at the CrossFit Games in 2013 & 2014 with the CrossFit Active team in Carson California.
Courtney has a love and passion for coaching, assisting people of all fitness levels to become happier, healthier and fitter versions of themselves. Most importantly, she encourages fun and works hard to ensure her community enjoys the journey.
Coach Rod
Rod Bennetts is CrossFit 4055 royalty.
Rod is the elder statesman of CrossFit 4055 and has more than 10 years experience in CrossFit training, competing and coaching. As one of CrossFit 4055’s greatest assets, no one is better at leading by example in all areas of health, fitness and the CrossFit ethos. Rod is an exceptional athlete who loves to compete and always brings an enthusiasm and a laugh to his classes.
Rods Mantra: Consistency, sold warm ups and mobility are keys to success.
Coach Corbin
Corbs was late to the CF4055 party, joining us in 2022. He has a Certificate III in Fitness with his Level 1 CrossFit.
“There is no better feeling than lying on the ground after the WOD wondering what just happened.”
Corbs has a number of passions including watching NRL and AFL. His biggest passion is beating Coach Rod at any workout and of course, CrossFit!
Coach Lachie
Lachie started his CrossFit journey as a member of CrossFit 4055 in 2022 and couldn’t get enough! Having a career as an Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer, his love of fitness and health matched the CF4055 community perfectly.
Lachie’s drive for coaching is to ensure all members get the most out of every workout to support their health and fitness journey. For Lachie the most important thing is to show up consistently, work hard and have a good time doing it!
Lachie loves to get his hands on a barbell in a workout but will look the other way when burpees are mentioned. He always get distracted by the gym dogs!
